SHERIE MAHLBERG

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist LMFT92236 and Executive Clinical Director

Sherie Mahlberg is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in first responders, their spouses, and their families.  Among her areas of expertise are Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), Peer Support, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Sherie received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Bethany Colleges of the Assemblies of God and a Master’s degree in Psychology from California Southern University.  Sherie is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree.  

As a Christian, Sherie can provide faith based therapy that stays true to Christian values if that is a desired focus of therapy.

In addition to providing counseling, Sherie is the owner and Executive Clinical Director of Restoration Family Counseling where she provides leadership, vision, direction, and supervision.  Sherie and her husband have been married for over 25 years and have three children.  Sherie comes from a public safety family which includes military, police, dispatch and fire.  Sherie’s husband is a fire battalion chief and she has a son who is a police officer.

KRISTIE HOPPER

Kristie Hopper is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in first responders, military service members, individuals, relationship disruptions in couples and families, and those recovering from trauma.  Among her areas of expertise are Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Trauma Informed Care (TIC), Attachment Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, stress management, and mindfulness techniques.

Kristie received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Brandman University and a Master’s degree in Psychology also from Brandman University. 


As a Christian, Kristie can provide faith based therapy that stays true to Christian values if that is a desired focus of therapy.
 

In addition to providing counseling, Kristie works as a clinical supervisor. Kristie and her husband  have been married over thirty years and have a son.  Her husband is a law enforcement officer who is also a retired military veteran.

BRENNA REPARD

Brenna Repard is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in first responders, individuals, couples, families, and children.  Among her areas of expertise are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Nurturing Parenting Programs, Postpartum Depression (PPD), Brainspotting, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, stress, and relationship conflicts.
 
Brenna received a Bachelors of Science degree from St. Mary’s College of California and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Chapman University.

In addition to providing counseling, Brenna is a clinical supervisor.  She has experience as a personal trainer and the promotion of the benefits of sports nutrition as it relates to moods and mental health.  Brenna is married to a first responder and is the mother of two young children.

KRISTEN BOOTHE

Kristen Boothe is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in first responders, military families, individuals, couples, adolescents, and children.  Among her areas of expertise are Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship issues, divorce, coparenting, blending families, infidelity, depression, anxiety, trauma, drug and alcohol related issues. Kristen is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

 

Kristen received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Sonoma State University and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College of California.  

In addition to providing counseling, Kristen works as a clinical supervisor.  Kristen has been married to her husband, who is a first responder, for 16 years and they have four sons.

JOSH TODT

Joshua Todt is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in first responders, individuals, couples and children.  Among his areas of expertise are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), mood and anxiety disorders, and grief and anger issues.
 
Joshua received his Bachelors of Arts from California State University Sacramento and a Masters degree in Counseling and Psychology from the University of San Francisco. 
 
In addition to providing counseling, Josh has over twenty-seven years of law enforcement experience and recently retired as a Deputy Sheriff.  He was a POST certified Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Instructor and worked as a Peer Support member for seventeen years.  Joshua is a third generation law enforcement officer.  He  has been married twenty-seven years and has three children.

Joshua Capper is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT118425). Joshua is supervised by Kristie Hopper (LMFT112759).  Josh graduated from CSU Stanislaus with a B.A. and M.S. in Psychology. He also has an A.S. in Fire Science and Business administration.  Josh also currently works as a full-time firefighter/paramedic with over 20-years of experience in the fire service, with 12 years on a 911 ambulance. Because of his rich history as a First Responder, he has a passion for working with clients who have a trauma history such as PTSD(I), Complex PTSD(I). Josh has advanced training in EMDR and Brainspotting. 

JULIANNE HICKS

Julianne Hicks is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who serves as one of Restoration's clinical supervisors, coaching and teaching registered associates.  Among her areas of expertise are  Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, spiritual issues,  working with individuals, couples, families, and children with relational issues. 
 
Julianne received a Bachelors of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton  and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Chapman University.

Frankie Alipio

Office Manager

Frankie Alipio is the office manager and oversees administrative operations.  She is extremely familiar with the clinicians' areas of specializations, training, and availability to ensure all clients receive high quality care.  Frankie is an authentic and warm person who is eager to provide you with needed information and services. 
 
In addition to her administrative work, Frankie is married and has a young daughter.  She served our country as a Military Police Officer in the U.S Army.  Frankie is the daughter of a police officer.

KELLY HAVEN

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist AMFT111759

Kelly Haven is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Kelly is supervised by Sherie Mahlberg, (LMFT92236).  Kelly’s path to becoming a Therapist began as an eighteen-year-old Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), working as a first responder. This, combined with a longstanding family history of Military and Civil Service sparked a deep desire to serve those individuals who have dedicated their careers to Public Safety, and the Military.  

Kelly remains involved in the community by serving the community in multiple capacities. First, as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the Foster Care System. Kelly completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology followed by a Masters in Psychology with a dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Counselling, both from Brandman University. 

TERESA HOOD

Teresa Hood is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with children and their families, individuals, and couples.  Among her areas of expertise are psychological, emotional, and spiritual issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and relational concerns. 
 
Teresa received a Bachelors of Science degree from Grand Canyon University and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. 
 
As a Christian, Teresa can provide faith based therapy that stays true to Christian values if that is a desired focus of therapy.  

In addition to providing counseling, Teresa serves in church ministry and is a children’s pastor.  Several members of Teresa's family currently serve their community in law enforcement.  Teresa has been married for over thirty-five years, with adult children and grandchildren.

Ed Chicoine is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with first responders, individuals, couples, and children.  Among his areas of  expertise are Critical Incident Stress Management, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Peer Support, depression, anxiety, and relationships. 
 
Ed received a Bachelors of Science degree from Southern Columbia University  and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University.  
 
Ed is a retired sheriff deputy with thirty years of law enforcement experience.  He also is a United States Air Force veteran.  In addition to providing counseling, Ed has served as a peer counselor and a chaplain.  Ed and his wife have been married for thirty years and have four children.

Sonnie Hamner is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in first responders, individuals, couples, adolescents, and children.  Among her areas of expertise are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-focused therapy (EFT), Brainspotting, Linguistic Analysis, Clinical Trauma and a Mental Health Integrated Medicine.  
 
Sonnie received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Trinity Biblical University and a Masters of Arts degree from California Southern University.  
 
As a Christian, Sonnie can provide faith based therapy that stays true to Christian values if that is a desired focus of therapy. 
 
In addition to providing counseling, Sonnie is a pastor, has owned film production and project development companies.  Sonnie was married for 45 years and is the mother of a Firefighter, grandmother to a Police Officer, and Auntie to many First Responders.

Shannon received a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis    and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University. 
 
In addition to providing counseling, Shannon works as a clinical supervisor and a  school counselor.  Shannon and her husband have three school aged children.

Alexcia Jennings is a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker who specializes in individuals, couples, children, and adolescents. Among her areas of expertise are Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) anxiety, play therapy, stress, depression, anger management, mood changes, and relationship conflicts. 

Alexcia received a Bachelors of Arts degree from California State University Sacramento and a Master’s degree in Social work also from California State University Sacramento.  

In addition to providing counseling, Alexcia has extensively worked with children and their families through child welfare services.  She is the daughter of a Police Chief and her partner is a firefighter for CalFire.  She is the mother of two young children.
