Dr. Beth Siegel is Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a doctorate in
psychology who specializes in individuals and couples including first responders.
Her areas of expertise are PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety and adults who
experienced trauma in their childhood.
Dr. Siegel’s career has been diverse, with over 32 years of experience in the field,
the last 20 in private practice. Trauma has been a primary focus including 30
years working with front line responders (trauma doctors and nurses as well as
police and fire personnel). As a clinical social worker at UCI Medical Center (a
Level 1 Trauma Center), she worked with patients and families in the Burn Unit,
Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room and Traumatic Stress Program where she
worked with trauma survivors in groups.
In 2013, she completed a 1-year certificate training program at the Los Angeles
Institute’s Trauma Studies Program and am currently a Certified First Responder
Counselor. Dr. Siegel volunteers with the Wounded Warrior Project as well as
being a network provider for Centerstone Military Services. She regularly
participates on ride-alongs with the Long Beach Police Department.
