Maiko Boyer, M.A., AMFT

Maiko is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples,

military, and first responders. Among her areas of focus are Eye Movement Desensitization and

Reprocessing (EMDR), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Family Systems therapy.

Maiko received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology from University of California Davis

and a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Regent University.

As a Christian, Maiko can provide faith-based therapy that highlights her clients’ spiritual

strengths in their healing journeys. She is also familiar with East Asian religions as a first-

generation immigrant from Japan.

Maiko has a longstanding life experience as a military spouse/parent and law enforcement

spouse. She comes from the clinical nutrition field and believes true wellness is achieved and

maintained multidimensionally.
