Sonnie Hamner, M.A., LMFT

Sonnie Hamner is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in first responders, individuals, couples, adolescents, and children.  Among her areas of expertise are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-focused therapy (EFT), Brainspotting, Linguistic Analysis, Clinical Trauma and a Mental Health Integrated Medicine.   

Sonnie received a Bachelor's of Arts degree from Trinity Biblical University and a Master of Arts degree from California Southern University.   

As a Christian, Sonnie can provide faith-based therapy that stays true to Christian values if that is a desired focus of therapy.  

In addition to providing counseling, Sonnie is a pastor, has owned film production and project development companies.  Sonnie was married for 45 years and is the mother of a Firefighter, grandmother to a Police Officer, and Auntie to many First Responders.
