Tawny Chestnut, M.A., AMFT

Tawny Chestnut is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Credentialed School Counselor who specializes in individuals, children, couples, and families. Tawny particularly enjoys working with education and/or behavior challenges in children and teens, individuals with ADD/ADHD, life transitions (e.g divorce, moving, loss), Perinatal/Postpartum Mood Disorders, and those who suffer from any form of anxiety and/or depression. Among her areas of expertise are Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), person-centered therapy, family systems therapy, and brain spotting.   

Tawny received a Bachelor's of Arts degree from California State University, Fresno and a Master’s degree in Counseling with a dual specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy/Professional Clinical Counseling and School Counseling from St. Mary's College of California. 

Tawny comes from a long lineage of military, police, and fire. Tawny's husband is a California Highway Patrolman, and they have a young son.
